Presentation of the report at the ICEM International Conference 2023
From October 3 to 6, 2023, the XVI International Conference on Environmental Remediation and Radioactive Waste Management ICEM 2023 was held in Stuttgart, Germany, organized by ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The conference brings together industry, academic, and government experts to promote international cooperation in nuclear power plant decommissioning, decontamination, radioactive waste management, and environmental restoration.
ICEM is a forum for managers, scientists, engineers, technology developers, equipment suppliers, government officials, representatives of utilities and private enterprises from around the world who are faced with environmental problems, in order to:
- become familiar and present achievements in technologies;
- exchange ideas and experience, promoting technological progress and its application in industry;
- promote international cooperation in the field of environmental restoration and radioactive waste management.
The following scientists of the Institute for Safety Problems of Nuclear Power Plants of the NAS of Ukraine participated in the conference – I. O. Kovalenko, M. I. Panasiuk, N. V. Sosonna.
Ihor Kovalenko presented the report Results of long-term radio-hydroecological monitoring of radioactive contamination of 90Sr underground waters of the Chornobyl NPP industrial site”.
The report presents the analysis of radioactive contamination of groundwater by 90Sr at the industrial site of the Chornobyl NPP.
After the presentation of the report, a conference certificate was received. Conference materials are included in the Scopus scientometric database.
